Man arrested, accused of making terroristic threat at NW Side movie theater

'Theater patrons were scrambling out the exits,' police report says

SAN ANTONIO – A 55-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night for making a terroristic threat at a Northwest Side theater, according to a report from the San Antonio Police Department.

Officers responded around 9:20 p.m. to several calls reporting a man with a gun inside Regal Huebner Oaks Stadium 14 & RPX theater in the 11000 block of Huebner Road, the report said.

When officers arrived, they found "theater patrons scrambling out the exits," the report said.

Officers confronted Jeffrey Blaine Jost, and according to the report, they had to overpower him and take him to the ground.

Jost was arrested, and no gun was found on him or in the theater, the report said.

The suspect was treated at the scene and transported to University Hospital for further treatment and observation.

Jost was charged with making a terroristic threat, resisting arrest and attempted harassment of a public servant.
