Husband, wife make it out safely after fire damages NW Side home

Fire was reported just before 11 p.m. in 4100 block of Cliff Oaks

SAN ANTONIO – A husband and wife managed to get out safely after flames damaged their Northwest Side home, San Antonio firefighters said Thursday.

The fire was reported just before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 4100 block of Cliff Oaks, which is located not far from Medical Drive and Fredericksburg Road.

Firefighters said the fire was mostly external and eventually worked its way up into the attic. The cause of the fire is not currently known.

Officials said the fire damage is estimated to be roughly $50,000. 

The San Antonio Fire Department and the San Antonio Police Department both responded to the call.
