Man charged after allegedly stealing more than $150,000 from Sheraton Gunter Hotel

Harrison Greene, 43, has been taken into custody

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a 43-year-old man, accused of stealing from his employer.

Harrison Greene has been taken into police custody.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Greene worked as the chief engineer for the Sheraton Gunter Hotel, located in the 200 block of East Houston Street downtown.

The affidavit said Greene submitted at least two dozen check requests in a seven-month period to buy copper pipe totaling more than $150,000.

Managers at the hotel became suspicious and had another engineer check the repairs. No repairs were made and there was no evidence that new copper was ever used, the affidavit said.

When confronted with the accusations, Greene resigned and did not return to work, the affidavit said.
