Man arrested after 2 kilos of meth, heroin, over $13K found in West Side home

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio man is facing several felonies after narcotics deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said they found about 2 kilos of methamphetamine and over $13,000 in cash.

BCSO officials said the drug bust occurred Wednesday evening at a West Side home in the 2400 block of West Commerce Street.

At the residence, narcotics deputies said they caught 37-year-old Daniel Villareal Jr. in possession of approximately 2 kilos of meth, 2 grams of heroin and $13,188 in cash.

Deputies said two money counters, a digital scale and packaging were also discovered inside the home.

Villareal is now being charged possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance over 400 grams, a first-degree felony; possession to deliver a controlled substance between 1-4 grams, a second-degree felony; and a parole violation, a first-degree felony.

According to online records, his bond has been remanded by a judge.
