SAN ANTONIO – Two good Samaritans helped a local man after he collapsed in front of a North Side restaurant late Monday night.
The incident was reported just before 11 p.m. at a Taco Cabana restaurant near Blanco Road and West Avenue.
According to police, the man in his 30s had been shot in front of a Frost Bank and then walked to the nearby restaurant where he collapsed.
The two customers tried to help the man by applying pressure to the gunshot wound, police said. The victim was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the shooting. They also did not disclose a description of the shooter.
Both San Antonio police and EMS crews responded to the scene.
