Multiple drivers rescued from high water on North Side

Incident occurred just before 11 p.m. on Hwy 281 near Basse Rd

SAN ANTONIO – Emergency response teams had to rescue multiple people from high water due to intense rain late Monday night.

The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. on Highway 281 near Basse Road on the city's North Side.

According to police, seven to ten people were rescued from four to five cars due to the high water.

Authorities said no one was hurt.

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for San Antonio until 6 a.m. Officials advise not driving in known flooding areas.
