SAN ANTONIO – A man and woman who were wanted by authorities were arrested after San Antonio police said they robbed a South Side dollar store at gunpoint and took off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The man, identified as Adam Lopez, 21, and the woman, identified as Ariel Parrish, 19, are being charged with a first-degree felony.

On Aug. 29, police were called around 8:25 a.m. for a robbery at a Dollar General located in the 2800 block of Nogalitos. A manager told police that Lopez and Parrish were shopping inside the store for about 30 minutes when they walked up the counter and waited in line.

The manager said Lopez and Parrish had allowed other customers to go in front of them so they could be the last customers in the store. When the manager rang up the pair's items and opened the cash register, she said that's when Lopez and Parrish pulled out handguns and demanded money.

According to an arrest affidavit, the armed robbery was captured on surveillance footage and investigators were able to gather fingerprints from the scene. A detective said in the affidavit that some of the prints came back to match Lopez.

Lopez was arrested less than 24 hours after the robbery and found to be in possession of two handguns and a hat that he was seen wearing in the footage. The detective said Lopez later confessed to the robbery.

Lopez and Parrish are being charged with aggravated robbery. They are also being charged with several unrelated felonies.
