SAN ANTONIO – A man was a hit and killed by a car as he tried to cross a busy street on foot Wednesday afternoon on the city's Southeast Side.
Police said the victim tried to cross several lanes of traffic in the 2200 block of Southeast Military Drive when the car hit him.
The man died at the scene.
The driver stopped to try and help the victim, police said.
No charges are expected to be filed against the driver.
