SAN ANTONIO – A man in his 40s was taken to an area hospital after he was shot during a confrontation late Monday night, San Antonio police said.
The shooting was reported just before 11 p.m. in front of a Long John Silver's restaurant near West Avenue and Blanco Road on the city's North Side.
According to police, the victim is believed to be have been involved in some type of altercation just before witnesses heard shots being fired and seeing a vehicle drive off.
The unnamed victim was taken to University Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg.
At this time, police have not disclosed what the altercation was about, or if they have identified any suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
