SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are continuing to search for three men involved in a shooting at a Northwest Side neighborhood park.

People who live in the 6300 block of Stable Farm told officers they heard as many as six gunshots ring out around 9 p.m. Monday.

The victim of the shooting is a 19-year-old man who witnesses say had been talking with the three men in the park just before the shooting started.

Celeste Juarez, who lives nearby, says she heard the gunshots, then found the victim calling for help.

She says she works in the medical field and was able to administer first aid.

“When I looked at him, he was covered, head to toe, in blood,” she said. “He had already called 911, so I took the phone from him and put pressure on his arm.”

Paramedics arrived a short time later and rushed the victim to a hospital.

Officers at the scene said he had been shot three times —once in each arm and once in the head—but was stable.

Police did not know the motive for the shooting right away.

They say witnesses told them after the three men involved in the shooting got into a car and left the scene.
