Loved ones gather to remember 11-year-old killed in drunken driving crash

SAN ANTONIO – Friends and family gathered on the Southwest Side on Tuesday to remember 11-year-old Andrew Alcorta, who was killed in a crash over the weekend on Loop 410 near I-35.

Andrew was in the car with his two older brothers and mother when their car veered off the highway.

One of his brothers and his mother are still in a hospital. His older brother was just released and attended the vigil.

“He was my little brother. I loved him. We’d fight a lot, but I told him I loved him,” said Gary Alcorta, Andrew’s brother.

“I want him here with me. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and have him here, instead of in the morgue,” said Erica Trevino, Andrew’s sister.

The mother’s boyfriend, 43-year-old Randy Perez, was driving the vehicle, police said, and he’s charged with intoxication manslaughter and three counts of intoxication assault.
