Man stabbed, hit by car during bar fight, police say

Jesus Ramos Jr. arrested, facing aggravated assault charge

NEW BRAUNFELS – A man accused of stabbing a man before hitting him with a car was arrested Saturday.

The Seguin Police Department said Jesus Ramos Jr. stabbed a man Friday during a fight at the Varsity Inn bar in the 900 block of West Court.

The victim, William Martin, 41, ran from Ramos, but police said Ramos followed him out of the bar and hit him with his car before driving away.

Ramos was arrested at a nearby apartment complex shortly after the incident. Martin was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

Ramos faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
