BOERNE – One person is dead after the driver of a car hydroplaned, crossed a highway median and collided with an oncoming vehicle Tuesday morning.
The crash happened in the 29300 block of Interstate 10 in the westbound lanes of traffic just after 9 a.m.

Deputies said a driver in the eastbound lanes hydroplaned and crossed over the cable barrier median into the westbound lanes, colliding with a driver in the westbound lanes.
The driver whose vehicle hydroplaned survived the crash and was taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver died at the scene. Deputies did not release any information for the driver killed in the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
