Girl at center of Amber Alert found in Laredo, authorities say


GEORGE WEST, Texas – A 12-year-old girl at the center of an Amber Alert has been located in Laredo, Texas, authorities in Live Oak County confirmed Monday afternoon.

The Texas Department of Public Safety issued an Amber Alert for Marisol Arroyo, who was last seen in the 500 block of County Road 101 in George West, Texas, which is approximately 90 miles South of San Antonio.

According to the Amber Alert, the 12-year-old was driving an orange Chevy HHR, possibly with a 21-year-old man. The Live Oak County Sheriff's Office confirmed she was located in the border city, more than 100 miles from where she was last seen.

Authorities did not elaborate on the circumstances of her alleged abduction.
