Uber's service of JUMP e-bikes, scooters to end in SA on Thursday

No reason given by company

SAN ANTONIO – Uber's JUMP bikes and scooters will no longer be available in San Antonio starting on Thursday, the company announced in a news release.

“We are winding down our JUMP operations in San Antonio. We will maintain an open dialogue with the City on how we can continue working together to expand transportation options and are grateful for their dedication,” Travis Considine, communications manager for Uber Texas said.

The company said customers can continue to use the Uber app to find and ride Lime Scooters.

In addition to San Antonio, JUMP services were launched in January in Dallas and Scottsdale and Mesa, Arizona.

The reason for pulling out of San Antonio was not given in the press release.
