SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Guatemalan man who presumably died and was abandoned by his group on the South Side, Sheriff Javier Salazar said Friday.
Marcos Vasquez Ramirez, who may also go by Eduardo Lopez, was traveling with a group of people from Guatemala to Houston. Ramirez is an undocumented immigrant, Salazar said.
Ramirez, 33, had a medical episode, and was left near a ranch off South Loop 1604 and Pleasanton Road. He had a heart condition, Salazar said.
The man's family sent a video that was forwarded to BCSO pleading for their loved one's return for a proper burial, Salazar said. The group that abandoned Vasquez Ramirez told the family that he died.
