3 people stabbed at graduation party

Group of intruders crashes party in 200 block of East Dullnig Court

SAN ANTONIO – Three people were stabbed at a graduation party for Highlands High School students early Monday on the city's South Side.

One of the victims was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition with a stab wound to the upper chest. The others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses said a group of uninvited people crashed the party around 3:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East Dullnig.

The problem started when the host asked the intruders to leave and one of them responded with punches, police said.

The party crashers were initially a group of about four males that grew to up to 15, police said. Up to 100 kids were at the party before the commotion ensued.

Jesus Salazar, an uncle of the host, told KSAT 12 News that the group of intruders demanded wallets, watches and cellphones of the kids at gunpoint.

"I mean, what is wrong with these people?" Salazar said. "I even asked them, 'What is wrong with you?'"

Shell casings were found at the scene but it appears no one was wounded by gunshots, police said.

Police said it appears the party was posted on Facebook, which is how police think the intruders found out about it.
