4 arrested for trafficking, sexual assault of a minor

Police are still looking for the people that paid to have sex with the minor

SAN ANTONIO – Four suspects involved in selling a minor for sex were arrested Friday night. San Antonio police said Rebecca Alvarez, 22, Christopher Castareno, 34, Veronica Diaz, 26, and Adrian Colon, 44, all took part in trafficking a minor for sex.

Police said the victim told them she was sold two weeks ago from one couple to another for $4,000 after she refused to perform sex acts.

That second couple then forced the child to have sex with men and women in exchange for money at numerous locations across the city.

She was able to reach a phone on Tuesday and call a friend, who in turn called family and the police.

All four suspects are facing charges of trafficking of a minor and sexual assault of a minor charge.

Police are still looking for the men and women that paid to have sex with the minor.
