Police with guns drawn go after suspects in far West Side home

5 people taken into custody

SAN ANTONIO – A call about a disturbance on the far West Side Wednesday night led to tense times that included San Antonio police officers barging into a home with their guns drawn.

Moments later, the officers emerged with several people in handcuffs.

The officers had arrived to the 10500 block of Tiger Way around 10:30 p.m. to investigate a disturbance call.

They said a group of people immediately scattered.

An officer caught one man as he climbed over a fence. He had to call for backup when the man put up a fight, police said.

Officers found the other people, including two women, inside the home. They brought them out at gunpoint and took them into custody.

Police said they also found a stolen car in the backyard.

They are still sorting out the case and were not able to determine if all of the people in custody would be facing charges.
