SAN ANTONIO - UPDATE: The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said that a 17-year-old who was reported missing is now back home and safe with family.

Mario Alberto Alvarez was declared missing on Tuesday Oct. 9. The BCSO said someone might have spotted Alvarez in the Sunrise area in East Bexar County before he eventually turned up.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing teenage boy who was last seen walking out of his home Tuesday evening.

BCSO officials said Mario Alberto Alvarez has not returned home but was possibly spotted in the Sunrise area in East Bexar County.

They said Mario has black hair and brown eyes, is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs approximately 135 pounds and has a scar on his right hand. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
