SAN ANTONIO - A Bexar County sheriff's detention deputy was arrested Sunday morning and charged with driving while intoxicated, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said.
San Antonio police arrested Mario Jose Rios, 31, who was sleeping in his car on the access road of NW Loop 410 and Military Drive.
Because Rios works in the jail, he does not have a BCSO vehicle, the Sheriff's Office said.
The Sheriff's Office said it will conduct an internal investigation into the deputy's alleged actions.
Rios is the third Bexar detention deputy arrested in the last three weeks.
Robert Serros, who works at the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, was arrested May 23 for allegedly assaulting his wife. He was charged with assault bodily injury-family violence and was placed on administrative leave.
David Ramos was arrested May 31 for allegedly breaking a side mirror on his ex-girlfriend's car. He was charged with criminal mischief.
