BiblioTech, Alamo Colleges partner to offer tech certification classes

Skills training offered free of charge for those eligible

SAN ANTONIO – An agreement was reached Tuesday in which Alamo Colleges will offer Support Help Desk (Network) I-BEST courses at the BiblioTech Pleasanton Road branch.

The course will allow students to develop skills and knowledge base needed to apply to the Open Cloud Academy or to seek employment opportunities.

The classes will meet four days a week for 12 weeks.

The coursework and training will begin June 13 and will be offered free of charge to students who meet certain criteria.

Students must be 18 or older, able to legally work in the U.S., registered with Selective Service (if male) and be below an eighth-grade level in reading, writing or math.

Testing for course eligibility will take place on May 26 and June 2 at the BiblioTech branch located at 3505 Pleasanton Road.
