SAN ANTONIO - Charges are pending in a shooting that may have started with an argument over a gun, police said.

Police say an 18-year-old met up with a man at a parking lot at Spring Time Drive and Babcock Road.

The two were talking about a gun the man had bought when they both pulled out handguns, police said.

The man fired several shots at the teen, hitting him twice, according to police.

The 18-year-old was taken to University Hospital in critical condition. Police said the man drove off, but flagged down an officer a few blocks away and told his side of the story.

Police detained him and several witnesses for questioning.
