Animal captured, released to wildlife rehabitator

ST. MARY'S COUNTY, Maryland – Store associates at a Dollar Store in Maryland got a little more than they bargained for when a beaver found its way into the store earlier this week.

Sheriff deputies in St. Mary’s County were called after the beaver was found in the Christmas section and damaging some of the merchandise.

The responding deputy called Animal Control and the beaver was captured.

According the Sheriff Office’s Facebook post, the beaver was later released into the care of a wildlife rehabilitator.

There was no word on how much damage the beaver caused.
