SAN ANTONIO – Hundreds gathered at Hemisfair Park on Sunday to remember more than 125 San Antonians who lost their lives in traffic accidents this year.
City officials joined Last Chance Ministries pastor Jimmy Robles for a memorial, hosted by Vision Zero, commemorating those who died in traffic incidents. Robles, who lost his daughter in a rollover crash last year, led those in attendance with a blessing.

District 1 City Councilman Robert Treviño spoke during the memorial, calling for safer streets for pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers.
"The loss of one life to a preventable crash is too many," Treviño said. "This year, as of November 13, we’ve lost 125 friends and family members."
After the memorial, bicyclists rode through downtown streets as part of "World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims."
