Police said the Tacoma has a black tool box and is an extended cab.

Anyone who sees the vehicles should call 911 immediately. Authorities are advising people to not approach anyone in the vehicles.

“This is a terrible tragedy for Robert’s family, friends, and colleagues. Robert Esparza was a beloved member of the San Antonio Museum of Art staff for nearly thirty years. We extend our sincere condolences to Robert’s family. He will be greatly missed.”

What the victim's next-door neighbor, Mike Rodriguez, is saying:

“This gentleman certainly did not deserve to die this way.”

“(He) never bothered anybody, didn't get involved with anything. He'd come out, get his mail. I’d say, 'How you doing Robert?' He goes, 'I’m OK.'”

“I just pray to God that whoever did it, they catch him.”
