Butler is charged with murder in the slaying of Stephanie Woodford, 34, at a home Saturday afternoon in the 4900 block of Teasdale Drive on the city's Northeast Side.

Police said Butler had a confrontation with Woodford prior to shooting her in the neck. Police said the two knew each other.

Woodford's mother, Laurel Anderson, told KSAT 12 News that her daughter has special needs and was at the home to help with a remodeling project.

A man was also wounded in the shooting. He was last listed in critical but stable condition, police said.

Police said the shooting may be drug-related and they don't expect to make anymore arrests.
