US Marshals asking for help finding fugitive sex offender

Antonio Carranzas Sanchez, 59, accused of not reporting address

SAN ANTONIO – A convicted sex offender is wanted on charges he failed to report his address to law enforcement -- a violation of court-ordered provisions of his release.

Antonio Carranzas Sanchez, 59, was convicted in 1998 for the sexual assault of a 28-year-old woman. He received 10 years probation and was ordered to register as a sex offender for life.

"A warrant was issued for Sanchez's arrest following an indictment filed with the Bexar County 399th District Court. The indictment alleged that Sanchez failed to comply with sex offender registration conditions and absconded from supervision," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Bozeman.

Sanchez is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

"His last known place of residence was on the East Side of San Antonio," Bozeman said.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 210-657-8500.
