West SA sex offender accused of moving without reporting address to law enforcement

Indictment: Mario Morales, 41, violating sex offender registration rules

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio man required to tell law enforcement officials where he's living is accused of failing to do that. Now he's wanted on a charge he failed to comply with sex offender registration conditions.

Mario Morales, 41, was convicted in 2000 on a charge of indecency with a 12-year-old girl through sexual contact. He was required to register as a sex offender every year for the rest of his life after he served six years in prison.

"In 2014, a warrant was issued for Morales' arrest, following an indictment filed with the Bexar County 437th District Court. The indictment alleged that Flores failed to register a change of address with local law enforcement authority and absconded from supervision," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Chris Bozeman.

The state's sex offender registry website shows Morales registered with Eagle Pass police in July 2014, then registered with San Antonio police three months later.

"His last known place of residence was on the West Side of San Antonio," Bozeman said.

Morales is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 152 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
