SAN ANTONIO – Investigators want to know who killed a 60-year-old man late last month, and they’ll pay up to $5,000 to find out.
Ernesto Varela’s friends found his body March 25 at Varela’s home at 1020 Piedmont Ave. in San Antonio, according to a news release from Crime Stoppers.

Varela had been shot to death.
Neighbors told the San Antonio Police Department they heard several gunshots about 4:30 a.m.
