Death of man found along River Walk ruled a homicide

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled the death of a 26-year-old man whose body was found along the River Walk in April as a homicide.

26-year-old Kenneth McFadden was found on April 9 by a downtown worker at an area between East Commerce and West Market streets.

Police said a river barge operator was flagged down by the worker who first made the discovery.

Officials at the time said there were no obvious signs of trauma. The medical examiner has now ruled the cause of death as an apparent drowning.

So far no arrests have made made. The investigation is ongoing.
