Driver leaves crash site, causes second crash

Driver first crashes into building

SAN ANTONIO – Authorities said the man they pulled from a wrecked car early Saturday morning was the same driver that crashed into a building and fled the scene shortly before.

Police were initially called to a building at the intersection of Blanco Road and Fulton Avenue for a report of a driver crashing into the building. When police arrived they found damage to the building, but couldn't find the driver or the car.

Shortly after, police noticed a man driving a vehicle that had two flat tires. Police said the driver was speeding when he jumped a curb and crashed his vehicle, police said.

Authorities had to pull him out of the vehicle. He was taken to University Hospital for treatment.
