Driver of SUV hits man after parking lot brawl

Man taken to Mission Trails Hospital

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for the driver of a tan sport utility vehicle that they say ran into a man after a parking lot confrontation on the city's South Side.

The confrontation was reported just after 2:30 a.m. Monday inside a sports bar in the 10800 block of Pleasanton Road.

San Antonio police said a fight escalated inside before eventually moving outdoors. One man suffered a severe head injury during the original scuffle. Police said the groups separated before returning a short time later.

Police said the driver of a tan SUV ran into another man in the parking lot and broke his leg.

The driver left the scene.

Both injured men involved in the incident were taken to Mission Trails Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
