SAN ANTONIO – A judge on Thursday sentenced a 23-year-old man to 30 years in prison for a DWI crash that killed a woman and left a man seriously injured.
District Court Judge Lori Valenzuela sentenced Tyler Mosley to a 20-year sentence and a 10-year sentence to run consecutively in connection with the July 2015 fatality.

Mosley was intoxicated, high on drugs and speeding when he left the scene of a hit-and-run crash and ran two red lights before crashing into a vehicle at Toepperwein and an Interstate 35 access road, the Bexar County District Attorney's Office said in a news release.
The impact of the crash ripped off the passenger side door of the vehicle and tossed the vehicle 10 feet into the air and into a traffic light, the DA's Office said.
Emily McLaughlin, a passenger, was killed in the crash. The driver, James Casiano, was seriously injured and suffered a traumatic brain injury, the DA's Office said. The couple was on their way home after seeing a movie and having dinner.
A blood draw from Mosley revealed that he had alcohol, Tramodal, Xanax, the metabolite of cocaine and the cutting agent for cocaine in his blood at the time of the crash, the DA's Office said.
Mosley was convicted on intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault charges.
