Sylvia Herrera, 27, accused of killing Nicholas Ramirez, Lauren Molina in crash

SAN ANTONIO – The woman who police said is responsible for a fatal wreck over Father's Day weekend was released on bond Tuesday.

Sylvia Herrera, 27, was released on a $175,000 bond and is being charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.

On June 20, police said Herrera was under the influence of alcohol when she slammed into a Mitsubishi Galant stopped at a traffic light on southwest Loop 410 near Highway 151.

The impact killed Nicholas Ramirez, 22, and his girlfriend Lauren Molina, 21. The two were being given a ride home after their shift ended at the Cheddars Restaurant off Loop 410.

The two other passengers riding with Ramirez and Molina were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
