Ex-Spur Alvin Robertson arrested

BCSO: Robertson cut off GPS monitor

SAN ANTONIO – Alvin Robertson, a former member of the San Antonio Spurs, was arrested Monday afternoon.

According to Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman James Keith, Robertson was arrested without incident at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Jackson Keller.

Robertson, 52, had been on the run since Jan. 5 after he cut off a GPS monitor, Keith said.

Robertson was required to wear the monitor after he was released on bond Dec. 12, 2014, on a charge of trafficking of a person less than 18 years of age for prostitution stemming from a 2009 case, Keith said.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the U.S. Marshal's Lone Star Fugitive Task Force made the arrest.
