Explosives, large amount of meth found in apartment near UTSA's main campus

Explosives not terror related, police said

SAN ANTONIO – Police found two explosive devices and large quantities of methamphetamine while executing a search warrant at an apartment in the Alpin Apartment complex less than a mile from UTSA's main campus.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old man in the bust and took a woman at the scene in for questioning.

Authorities said the arrest comes after an ongoing investigation.

Police also found a handgun and a shotgun in the apartment. They said they don't believe the explosives were terror-related. 

The 23-year-old faces drug and explosives charges.
