Facebook post leads to argument between relatives, ends in stabbing

Victim expected to be OK

SAN ANTONIO – A Facebook post led to a stabbing on San Antonio’s West Side Sunday.

Police said a woman in her 20s went to a home in the 2400 block of Rivas Street to confront a relative after reading a post on the social media site.

During the confrontation, police said, words between the two got heated and a man stabbed the woman.

“We don’t know if he was the one who made the original post,” Officer Steve Alamnza, with SAPD said. “He could have been someone in the household.”

Police said they are still trying to determine who the victim and suspect are related.

The woman was taken to University Hospital and is expected to be OK.
