Family has message to gunman: ‘Your day will come'

Aaron Rocha, 25, killed on Nov. 26

Aaron Rocha, 25, killed on Nov. 26 – It has been nearly a month since a man was shot and killed on San Antonio’s Northwest Side. Police said road rage is to blame and now his family has a message to the gunman: “Your day will come. Justice will prevail.”

On Nov. 26, Gilbert Rocha received a message on social media that no parent wants to get. His son, Aaron Rocha, 25, had been shot and killed.

"I thought somebody was fooling around,” Gilbert Rocha said. “It was a big joke and I messaged him back and I asked him 'What's going on?'"

But it was no joke.

Police said Aaron Rocha was a passenger in the backseat of a vehicle at a gas station near Northwest Military Highway and Huebner Road when someone opened fire.

“I feel like this is just a dream, you know?” Gilbert said. “(I) feel like this is just a bad nightmare. Somebody wake me up, you know?"

While the Rocha family and police continue to look for answers, they also have a message for the gunman.

"You had no right to do it. If you don't give yourself up. Your day will come. Justice will prevail," Lori, Aaron's mother, said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
