SAN ANTONIO – A woman's home on the North Side was destroyed Tuesday night in a fast-moving fire.
The trailer home in the San Pedro Mobile Home Park caught fire around 7:45 p.m.
The homeowner was not home when the fire broke out, but her neighbors saw the flames and called 911. Those same neighbors tried to put the fire out with their own hoses, but it was too big.
The woman came home to find her pets missing, but within a few minutes the dogs and cat were recovered.
She said one dog was not found, but she believes it jumped the fence during the commotion. Unfortunately, the woman's two birds died in the fire.
