Former Judson ISD teacher accused of sex trafficking

Matthew John Turner, 34, arrested Thursday

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A former teacher who resigned from the Judson Independent School District in January amid claims of inappropriate behavior involving a teen now is facing charges related to child sex trafficking.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that Matthew John Turner, 34, is accused of paying a 15-year-old girl several times to engage in sexual role playing with him.

The affidavit stated that the girl spoke to investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety, telling them that she had been forced to work as a prostitute. She said that on multiple occasions last fall, she met with Turner who paid her money to engage in sexual acts with him, the affidavit stated.

The teen said, at one point, Turner asked her to introduce him to someone even younger, a 9-year-old girl.

The affidavit stated that although the teen knew Turner only by a nickname, investigators were able to learn his identity through his cellphone number.

According to the affidavit, Turner resigned from his job as a debate/speech teacher with Judson ISD in January after a parent raised concerns about his contact with her 16-year-old daughter.

The affidavit stated that Turner is accused of offering to pay that girl money if she allowed him to take pictures of her bare stomach. It stated that the investigation regarding that case is ongoing.
