SAN ANTONIO – Frances Hall, 55, is on her way back to San Antonio after being released from prison Friday.

Hall was convicted of murdering her husband, Bill Hall Junior, after an incident involving a car chase along 1604 on Oct. 10, 2013.

She was chasing Bonnie Contreras, the woman with whom Bill admitted to having an affair, with Bill following on his motorcycle.

“I don’t know if I hit him or he hit me, I don’t know,” Hall has said previously.

Bill’s motorcycle left the road and ended up in a ditch during the chase and he succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

Hall has always maintained her innocence and insisted her husband’s death was accidental.

After facing a maximum punishment of life in prison, Hall was sentenced to two years in prison, two years of probation and a $10,000 fine in September 2016.

Hall’s case was ruled as a crime of “sudden passion,” which reduced her sentence to the two year minimum for murder.
