Did you know petroleum jelly can make a Jack O'Lantern last longer? Just smear it on the cut areas after patting them down with a paper towel.

Bleach can also help. Add 3 teaspoons of bleach to a bucket of water and immerse the pumpkin in the bleach solution.

You can also add a small amount of bleach to a spray bottle filled with water.

Spray the pumpkin daily with the bleach mixture to help fight mold and keep the pumpkin from drying out.
