SAN ANTONIO - Like a majority of their public school counterparts, San Antonio's largest parochial schools received excellent health scores according to reports obtained by KSAT.

'Behind the Kitchen Door' asked Metro Health to provide the most recent inspection results for parochial schools with student bodies of 500 or more people.

Here are the scores for those schools:

St. Mary's Hall at 9401 Starcrest Drive was last inspected Nov. 12, 2014. They received a perfect score from the health inspector.

St. Matthew's Catholic School at 10703 Wurzbach Road also received a perfect score during their most recent inspection on Oct. 9, 2014.

The Atonement Academy at 15415 Red Robin Road was inspected Dec. 12, 2014. The health inspector gave them only three demerits. They were told to post the proper permits in public view.

Also with three demerits, Central Catholic High School at 1403 N. St. Mary's. When they inspected Dec. 2, 2014, the health inspector reminded the food service staff to post their food permit.

Cornerstone Christian School at 4802 Vance Jackson was given four demerits on Oct. 10, 2014. They had a kitchen plumbing issue.

Incarnate Word High School was given four demerits on Nov. 7, 2014. The school at 727 E. Hildebrand had one minor issue. A food service employee was observed drinking from a cup without a lid. An easy demerit to address, Metro Health does consider the violation a possible cross-contamination risk.

Four demerits were also given to San Antonio Christian at 19202 Redland Road. Inspected Dec. 11, 2014, the staff was asked to cover disposable cutlery and makes sure dry goods used on the salad bar were stored properly.

The scores received by all seven schools are ranked as "excellent" by Metro Health.
