DEA agent 'attacked,' grazes man with bullet during shooting on West Side

Shooting reported just before 7:30 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO – The Drug Enforcement Administration and San Antonio police were on the scene of a shooting on the city's West Side Monday.

A DEA agent at the scene said his officer was attacked by a man and the agent opened fire, grazing the man in the back.

The shooting occurred just before 7:30 p.m. at an apartment complex on Water’s Edge Driver just outside Loop 410.

The DEA said two men were arrested. Neither lived at the apartment complex.

The agency also said this was part of their investigation and "an amount of cocaine was seized."

Both the agent that fire his weapon and the man grazed by the bullet are expected to be OK.
