Comal County adds 127 new COVID cases, 14 patients on ventilators, officials say

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Comal County officials reported 127 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, moving their total since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic to 6,375.

According to a release by the county, county hospitals were caring for 82 patients with COVID-19. Of the patients currently in care, 16 patients are in intensive care and 14 are on ventilators.

Additionally, Comal County public health officials confirmed the death of five residents from New Braunfels.

“The County now has 708 active confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases,” the county said in a statement.
