SAN ANTONIOUPDATE: The medical examiner’s office identified the man killed in a north downtown shooting on Monday as 38-year-old Jesse Angel Cardenas. The suspect is still at large in this case.

San Antonio police are trying to track down a sport utility vehicle that was caught on camera at the scene of an overnight murder just north of downtown.

They say the vehicle seen on surveillance video is a small light-colored SUV.

Police say someone inside the SUV shot a man in his head, killing him, as he rode a bicycle through the Tobin Hill neighborhood.

Officers found him at the intersection of Evergreen Street and Evergreen Ct. near N. St. Mary’s after 2 a.m. Monday.

Police say there were no witnesses to the shooting.

However, they later found surveillance video shows what happened.

They say cameras captured the SUV driving past the man on the bicycle, turning around, then driving toward him.

Someone inside the SUV fired shots, hitting the victim in his head and killing him.

Police said the victim appeared to between 35 and 45 years and possibly was homeless.
