According to police, the driver of a white suburban lost control for an unknown reason while turning right onto Burton Avenue from SW Military and drove into a retail parking lot, just before crashing into the corner of two retail businesses.

Police said an employee inside the cleaning supply store suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to an area hospital as a precaution. No other injuries were reported.

SAPD said the people inside the suburban stayed at the scene. The building hit did not appear to have significant structural damage and the vehicle was eventually removed by a tow truck, police said.

A preliminary police report released Wednesday morning did not mention any potential charges for the driver.
