Man in custody after barricading self in West Side home following vehicle pursuit, BCSO says

A man has barricaded himself inside his home on the West Side after Bexar County sheriff’s deputies said he led them on a vehicle pursuit. (KSAT)

SAN ANTONIO – A man is in custody after Bexar County sheriff’s deputies said he barricaded himself inside his home on the West Side after leading them on a vehicle pursuit.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 7100 block of Timbercreek Drive.

The sheriff’s office said deputies attempted to stop the suspect for reckless driving. However, the man led deputies in pursuit, ending in him barricading himself inside a West Side home.

Deputies surrounded the home and were seen just before 6 p.m. bringing the suspect out of the house in handcuffs.

BCSO says the suspect, who hasn’t been identified, has an extensive criminal history and is now facing a charge of evading in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
