SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio’s KPOPWORLD Festival was postponed until next year due to ongoing visa delays and restrictions, organizers said Friday.
“After extensive discussions with our immigration, production, and event teams, we have made the difficult decision to postpone KPOPWORLD Festival USA to 2027,” organizers said in an Instagram post.

The inaugural Alamo City event was initially scheduled for Oct. 28-31 at the Alamodome. The event is advertised as a “global celebration of K-pop, music, dance, culture and fandom,” according to the festival’s Instagram page.
Headliners for the festival included artists Jay Park, The Rose and SB19, with concerts taking place Oct. 30-31.
Organizers cited difficulty in obtaining U.S. visas for some of the artists ahead of the festival, “despite using expedited and all means of services.”
“Facing the possibility of a significantly reduced lineup due to visa delays and restrictions, and furthermore, disappointing fans, the most responsible decision is to postpone the Festival and provide sufficient time to deliver the promised experience,” organizers said.
Ticketmaster will refund anyone who has already purchased tickets to the festival, according to the post. The refund will be credited to the ticket buyer within 14 days.
Organizers said after the announcement of the new on-sale date, original ticket holders will receive an exclusive presale code before the general public.
